It started in 1979.

Redruth Thatching was awarded the contract to construct and thatch roofs at the "Rondalia Buffelspoort Holiday Resort" near Rustenburg.

Game camps, lodges, holiday resorts, houses, restaurants, shops, conference centers and even two airports followed the contract.

After a few years we could claim: "Main contractor for Aventura, Caltex and Sun International"
